New Nesite Showroom in Milan

A flexible design place that hosts all the raised floor proposals and the Nesite Interior solutions: in Sesto San Giovanni, inside the logistic headquarters of the leader Transpack.

The Project

MilanoSesto is the subject of a major redevelopment project by Foster + Partners, an architectural firm that is about to transform it into a new ecological and sustainable urban centre in the north of Milan. The former industrial area, traditionally the site of the Acciaierie Falck steelworks – closed down in 1996 – is thus conceived as a new district, offering virtuous examples of recovery and reconversion, with complexes for residential use, commercial spaces and latest-generation offices.

The first Nesite showroom in Milan is part of this context, hosting in 300 square meters all the proposals of raised floors and the solutions of Nesite Interior, with which the group from Veneto realizes customized and turnkey furniture for residential or contract projects at international level.

The exhibition space is therefore a dynamic and fluid place, where the two brands coexist and determine a complete offer. The layout consists of multifunctional metal modules that can be easily reprogrammed and reconverted, recalling the soul and core business of the holding company Transpack and the context of industrial architecture in which the showroom is set. The choice of recycled materials, such as cork, resin and wood, which customise the installation path emphasise the green nature and philosophy of the company, which is associated with the Green Building Council Italia and has FSC Chain of Custody certification.

The four thematic areas that design the showroom – offices, relaxation area, exhibition area, meeting room – offer an overall vision, with different raised floors, also customised, including the Floora biophilic floor system.
