PIRELLI 35, owned by COIMA Sgr, is among the largest urban regeneration projects designed by Park Associati and Snøhetta. The building will be fully integrated by Nesite’s raised floor solutions, with systems designed to complement the work from the high standards of sustainability, automation and connectivity.
THE PROJECT
Pirelli 35, one of the symbols of Milan’s 1960s business center, is reborn thanks to the retrofitting project signed by Park Associati and Snøhetta, which focuses on the virtuous recovery of existing structures, according to ambitious environmental and social standards .
The new complex covers an area of about 45,000 sqm and involves redevelopment and expansion of the original building through the integration of the most effective practices in terms of sustainable building. In fact, the Pirelli 35 project includes the use of ventilated facades for thermoregulation, ultra-low impact technologies for energy needs, and use of only cradle-to-cradle certified materials.
Efficient, sustainable, flexible: Pirelli 35 will be LEED Platinum, nZEB and WELL Gold certified, to which is added the WiredScore certification, a new international rating system that assesses the quality of digital infrastructure.
WHY THE RAISED FLOOR.
Pirelli 35 is an intelligent complex with high automation and connectivity, the plant design of which becomes critical in enabling a high-performance configuration that is also scalable to the building’s upcoming needs.
In this context, the integration of the raised floor becomes an easy solution in building the necessary infrastructure, also facilitating future developments and/or modifications. In fact, the placement of systems is done in the plenum below, of various heights, where designers can have customizable technical compartments free of constraints.
