The new hospital in Monopoli – Fasano, built by Astaldi – Webuild Group, represents one of the largest and most technologically advanced developments in the area, which will provide a facility with 300 beds and 9 operating theatres. The project involves us in one of the most important applications of the raised floor in the healthcare sector, with a supply of about 40,000 sqm.
THE PROJECT
The new Monopoli Fasano Hospital, designed by achistar Albert De Pineda – one of the leading experts in healthcare engineering at international level, is a project that pays homage to the area by literally integrating it into its architecture. In fact, its realization starts precisely from the analysis of the place, characterized by the presence of monumental olive trees, and proposes a structure immersed in nature, environmentally sustainable, and able to confer well-being to its patients .
A hospital in a park, hence the choice of a low-rise building composed of functionally connected but autonomous blocks organized in a comb pattern. The voids created between the blocks thus allow the landscape to be introduced into the building, achieve maximum natural lighting and ventilation in the inpatient units, resulting in benefits for patients.
Technological and efficient, the new Monopoli Fasano Hospital is a demonstration of how architectural functionality can be combined with the most modern health care needs, without detracting from the beauty of the places.
WHY THE RAISED FLOOR
The new Monopoli – Fasano Hospital is a virtuous healthcare project, where the use of the raised floor confers key performance and execution advantages for the project, with a certified cradle-to-cradle solution with partial accessibility.
Specifically, the work was completely realized with the Tetris Floor system, a high-strength floor, with very fast installation time and immediately walkable. Tetris Floor is also a versatile solution from an aesthetic point of view, allowing the application of finishes of any type and format.
