Nesite raised floors are now FDES (Fiche Déclaration Environnementale et Sanitaire) certified, the declaration for the French market describing the environmental and health performance of our solutions. FDES certification reports data based on the LCA study of all Nesite raised floors with chipboard core in the various finishes, verified and approved by INIES.
FDES RAISED FLOOR, WHY WE DID IT
The FDES declaration is the new step in the process of measuring and validating the environmental quality of our raised floors. The main role of the FDES is to provide proven information to professionals who want to introduce standards of eco-sustainability and healthiness in the design of a building. It is actually a declaration that contains multi-criteria, objective, quantitative and qualitative information on the function and lifetime of building materials.
The FDES certification, developed in compliance with international standards EN 15804, ISO 14025, French national standards NF EN 15804/CN and reference PCR, is based on a detailed analysis of the entire lifecycle of our raised particle board floors, from raw material extraction to end-of-life, including transport, installation and use.
Which information does the FDES declaration contain?
Which information does the FDES declaration contain?
The FDES provides a comprehensive overview in terms of resource consumption and environmental impact at various stages of the building product life cycle. The information contained concerns:
• the product characteristics: main constituents (raw materials, any hazardous substances, etc.), additional products for manufacturing, packaging, etc.;
• the functional unit of the product and its durability;
• the environmental profile, i.e. the set of environmental indicators calculated over the entire life cycle of the product;
• health information and comfort of use: contribution of the product to the sanitary quality of indoor spaces and water, contribution to the life quality in the building.
